Real Madrid have reportedly decided to pursue Stuttgart's Angelo Stiller following a recommendation made by ex-midfielder Toni Kroos.

Madrid's unimpressive 2024-25 campaign has been a wake-up call for Florentino Perez. The management is set to leave no stone unturned in solving the shortcomings it has faced this season. As per Marca, it's Toni Kroos who has come to the rescue with a "Stiller" solution.

The 24-year-old has played a pivotal role for Stuttgart this season. The defensive midfielder's on-pitch hold and character in the midfield have caught a lot of eyes, with Liverpool also showing interest in signing the German earlier in the season. The Bundesliga club has reportedly put a price tag of €60 million ($68m/£51m) on Stiller.

After Modric's departure, Los Blancos are actively looking to sign reinforcements. After sorting out their defensive woes with the signing of Alexander-Arnold and Dean Huijsen, Alonso now wants to focus on the midfield. Madrid believes Stiller's play-making style, with the addition of his defensive qualities, will bring more stability in the midfield.

Angelo Stiller signed a five-year contract extension with Stuttgart in January that runs till the summer of 2028. Los Blancos, though, should not have a problem regarding agreeing personal terms with the player, with the only hurdle remaining being sorting out the price tag. The La Liga Giants are also planning to trigger Nico Paz's buy-back clause after the midfielder's impressive season with Como.
