Ben White is reportedly set to continue his self-imposed England exclusion as interim boss Lee Carsley prepares to name his first squad on Thursday.

According to the , the Arsenal star's England exile is expected to continue, despite former manager Gareth Southgate and his assistant, Steve Holland, moving on from their roles this summer. Interim boss Carsley will name his group for their Nations League games against the Republic of Ireland and Finland but it is understood White will not make himself available for selection for the time being.

White left England's World Cup 2022 camp midway through the competition due to "personal reasons", with reports later suggesting he had fallen out with coach Holland. The 26-year-old has not played for England since and ruled himself out of selection for Euro 2024, too. The report adds that he is not fussed about adding to his four international caps for the time being.
