Charlton Athletic bounced back from their bitterly disappointing defeat against Stoke City with a victory against high-flying Nottingham Forest.

Lee Bowyer’s side won 1-0 thanks to Lyle Taylor converting from Naby Sarr’s superb cross, while they showed defensive solidity to secure all three points.

David Davis may not have been involved in the goal, but Addicks fans feel that he had a massive say in the team securing three points.

One fan even claimed that he was Man of the Match, while another referred to the 28-year-old as an “absolute warrior”.

He definitely contributed to the team’s defensive solidity, being successful with both of his attempted tackles, while also making four interceptions and a clearance.

Who is that?!?! Can you name all of these obscure Charlton players?

In addition to that, he came out on top in both of the aerial duels that he competed in over the 90 minutes.

While there was appreciation for his general level of performance, fans specifically were very pleased with the work rate and dedication to the team that was shown.

Fans felt that he put in a “great shift”, with it likely being particularly pleasing to see from someone who was playing just their second game in a Charlton shirt, having joined on loan from Birmingham City.

The hope now will be that he can have a say in plenty more positive results for the club, as they look to keep their place in the Championship for next season.

Meanwhile, the midfielder also showed promising signs during his debut for the club.
