Kane received the knock to his cheek just before half-time, but did play on for the rest of Bayern's 0-0 draw against Bundesliga title rivals. He was absent from preparations for tomorrow night's Champions League play-off second leg with Celtic, but could still be fit to play.

Bayern failed to have a single shot in the first half of a Bundesliga game for the first time since records began, and ended up with just two compared to their hosts' 15.

Bayern boss Vincent Kompany said of Kane's absence from training: "It's nothing bad. We don't have much time overall and sometimes you just need that extra day. We'll see how he feels tomorrow. But I assume it's nothing bad."
